Harold's Hamburgers and Internet Cyber Café, situated in the Central Square of Verbier, began in 1975 in a tiny location just below the Post Office. It was so successful that when the opportunity arose in 1991, it was moved to the new and present location.
Following a suggestion from the Tourist Office that knew that the owner, Alan Woolman, was computer and especially Internet savvy, the Cyber Café was born in 1998, rapidly expanding to its present size. To satisfy demand from clients using their own laptops, connections with analog. ISDN, Ethernet, and WiFi have been available since 2000.
Pressured by popular demand, a satellite dish was installed in 2001 so that the British viewers could watch live football and rugby. A big screen was installed in January 2003.
