February 2006 - The full event results, summary and images are available to view on the event website www.verbierride.com . On the homepage you'll see an orange bar. Click on the bar and it will take you through to the page with all the information on it.
February 2006 - The latest TV News Highlights are now available to view also from the website www.verbierride.com . There's a 15 minute overall action clip of the event and individual clips from each of the disciplines. Each clip has a 256kb rate so can be viewed in real time streaming from the site. February 2006 - The Verbier Ride 2006 kicks off with the qualifier. Unfortunately the face of the Mt Gele was bombed bare of snow on the morning of the comp, a real disappointment to the organisers and athletes who know the face so well. It was made unskiable, therefore the venue had to be moved to the Attalas Face. However, the qualifier on Attelas proved to be an exciting event with some technical skiing demonstrated by the riders. February 2006 - Verbier Ride 06 inscriptions are now closed. All inscriptions are being processed by the Verbier Ride organising committee and the IFSA. The confirmed rider Start list for the Qualification Day of the Big Mountain Freeride event will be published on this website Tuesday 7th February. Watch this space.
February 2006 - Due to several different circumstances beyond the organisers control, the Slope Style and Skier Cross events in the La Chaux area of Verbier have now been reformatted. The events will now be a BIG AIR competition and a RAIL JAM competition in the Carrefour area of Verbier.
January 2006 - One FM will now be broadcasting live at the Verbier Ride from the 18th - 24thFebruary. The radio station will be publicising the event across Switzerland , bringing a bigger crowd to watch the riders.
January 2006 - Peak Performance becomes joint title sponsor of the Ride event series. Signed up until the spring 2007, the Swedish apparel brand is investing in the event to help further increase prize money and standards for the athletes.
